DONETSK, July 12Ukrainian troops dropped an explosive object from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) reported.
«Attack by strike UAVs from the armed forces of Ukraine: 20.10 — the city of Donetsk (Petrovsky district): dropping an explosive object from a UAV,» says a message published on the department's Telegram channel.
In addition, at 19:00, the Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled the same area from NATO artillery, firing three 155-millimeter shells. The city's mayor, Aleksey Kulemzin, reported that as a result of shelling in the Petrovsky district, a multi-apartment building, an outbuilding, and a garage caught fire.
The Petrovsky district is located on the western outskirts of Donetsk, and is the farthest part of the city from the center. Since 2014, when the DPR declared independence from Kyiv, this area has been regularly shelled by Ukrainian security forces.
