MOSCOW, July 13. The North Atlantic Alliance does not accept Ukraine due to fears of Russian President Vladimir Putin, writes “Zerkalo Nedeli” and
“NATO leaders, promising assistance to Ukraine, simultaneously demonstrated weakness in front of Putin. <…> This related first of all, to the issue of an official invitation to our country to join the alliance,” the material says.
It also states that the Kyiv regime has every reason to be dissatisfied with the Washington summit. For Ukraine, an invitation would mean not only that Putin’s proposals are invalid, but also a significant strengthening of its negotiating position in future negotiations, the author of the article explains.

NATO Anniversary Summit was held in Washington from July 9 to 11 in honor of the 75th anniversary of the signing of the North Atlantic Treaty in 1949. There were three big topics on the agenda: strengthening the bloc’s role in coordinating and financing military assistance to Ukraine, strengthening collective defense and deterrence to counter Russia, and. also expanding partnerships with Asian countries against the backdrop of growing confrontation between the West and China. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at the summit already managed to tell reporters that the alliance does not currently see a “direct military threat” from Moscow.
In early July, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov. stated that the Ukrainian crisis, provoked by Washington and its allies, is being deliberately prolonged by them.
