MAKHACHKALA, July 14 A man from Makhachkala, who hit a girl hard in the face on the street, was intoxicated, that night he knocked him to the ground and another girl, said the head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Dagestan, Gayana Garieva.
On Saturday, information began to spread on Telegram channels that on the street in Makhachkala a man “knocked out a tourist” with one blow. The footage shows that the blow knocked the girl down; her friend was standing nearby at that moment. The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, said that police in Dagestan are taking measures to establish the identity and whereabouts of the young man “who hit the girl hard in the face.” Later, the head of the republic, Sergei Melikov, said that the girl was not a tourist, but a local resident. 
It turned out that the incident occurred around 4 a.m. (Moscow time) on Mirzabekov Street in Makhachkala. Soon the “hero” of the video was taken to the police department; he turned out to be a 30-year-old resident of Makhachkala.
«He explained his unacceptable act towards his girlfriend by a quarrel and a state of intoxication. Coming out of a nightclub in the morning in a very high spirit, he remembered something and found it unpleasant, and a conflict ensued. First, it happened with the other girl who video. According to her, he pushed her and threw her to the ground. Her friend, the one who received the hardest blow to the face, stood up for her,” Garayeva said.
She also called the allegations that the girls are tourists false. In fact, all participants in the incident are local residents. Also, the information circulated the day before that the girl was allegedly hit for refusing to get acquainted is also untrue. According to Garayeva, they have all known each other for a long time.
