Trump interrupted a public speech in Pennsylvania on Saturday because of the shooting. The video showed the politician being led away by security guards, with a bloody ear. Trump later said he was wounded in the ear and had lost a lot of blood.
The US Secret Service reported that it had eliminated the suspect, who fired several shots towards the stage. One of the spectators was killed in the shooting, and two others were critically injured.
US President Joe Biden said that he was praying for Trump's recovery, but he does not yet have enough facts to call the incident an assassination attempt on the politician.
