One of the victims of a gas explosion in an apartment building in the city of Opochka, Pskov region, died in hospital, despite the efforts of doctors. Governor Mikhail Vedernikov announced this in his Telegram channel on Monday, July 15.
According to the head of the region, the deceased was in extremely serious condition.
“The doctors did everything possible, but they couldn’t save him,” – wrote the head of the region, expressing condolences to family and friends.

He also said that doctors continue to fight for the life of the second victim of the explosion: the woman is still in intensive care.
Recall that a gas explosion in Opochka, Pskov region, occurred during the day Saturday, July 13th. As a result of the incident, three apartments and two cars were damaged. A fire broke out in one of the premises and was quickly extinguished.
