Roskomnadzor, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, blocked the website of the Ecological Crisis Group. This was reported on the organization’s social networks.
As the publication states, on July 9, Roskomnadzor sent a notification to the owner of the Eco-Crisis Group website demanding that one of the pages be deleted. It contained information about organizations that help with pressure on activists. The owners of the site hid access to the page, but despite this, the authorities limited access to the resource in Russia.
The page that became the reason for blocking the site mentioned various human rights organizations — in particular, OVD-Info and “Memorial”, as well as projects that help pay fines, avoid mobilization and provide support to Ukrainian refugees.
The “Ecological Crisis Group” itself is an initiative to support environmental activists, which, among other things, was created to “establish a dialogue between civil society and government officials in solving environmental problems to prevent conflicts.”
