Two people injured due to a fire near Novorossiysk went to the hospital, reports the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory. They refused hospitalization.
At night, the fire area grew to 62 hectares. On the morning of July 15, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that rescuers had extinguished all the tourist centers, but more than 320 people were still extinguishing the fire. The fire is also being extinguished using an Il-76 aircraft and Ka-32 and Mi-8 helicopters.
In the Durso farm, 60 buildings were damaged on the territory of the Romantic recreation center and another eight at the Blue Wave base. Five cars were also damaged by the fire.
17 people remain in the temporary accommodation center, the rest of the evacuated tourists have gone home. On July 14, the head of Novorossiysk, Andrei Kravchenko, said that about 500 people were evacuated from recreation centers, and buses were prepared for another 200.
On the afternoon of July 14, it became known that the grass had caught fire on the territory of the “Dry Shchel” nature reserve in the Durso farm; due to strong winds, the fire quickly spread to 50 hectares. Due to the fire, the Novorossiysk authorities introduced a state of emergency in the city.
