MOSCOW, July 16 Accidents on the networks of MTS, Megafon and Beeline in the Far East have been completely eliminated, Internet access and mobile communications have been restored for subscribers, reports the Ministry of Digital Development.

< br />Earlier on Tuesday, subscribers of telecom operators in the Far East experienced network outages. Operators have already informed the Ministry of Digital Development that the failures have been resolved, the ministry said. Thus, MTS experienced an accident on its transport network due to a break in the optical cable. This resulted in no data transmission from 19:00 to 20:00 local time. Voice communication partially functioned through a satellite reserve.
In turn, Beeline experienced an accident on the main power supply channel, which coincided with planned work on the backup channel provided by Rostelecom. Whereas Megafon experienced a power outage at one of the operator’s facilities.
The correspondent reported that on Tuesday evening in Blagoveshchensk there were massive disruptions in the MTS network: messengers worked slowly, and it was periodically impossible to make calls. The line “Emergency calls only” appeared on smartphone screens. In Primorye, problems with mobile Internet were noted for an hour and a half at Beeline and for the entire evening at MTS. At the same time, Megafon worked stably.
Users of MTS and Megafon in the Magadan region reported massive Internet connection failures. In Yakutia, MTS subscribers also had difficulties. As the Ministry of Innovation of the region reported, the problems are related to “breaks in the main and backup communication channels.”
