The Lada Aura, driven by Russian President Vladimir Putin along the M-11 highway, is one of the pre-production samples; This is a car in the maximum configuration, the interior of which uses Russian-made leather and is equipped with a domestic premium audio system, said company official Sergei Ilyinsky.

On Monday, Putin arrived at the opening of a section of the northern bypass of Tver of the M-11 Neva highway driving a black Russian Lada Aura. After the trip, the president shared his impressions of it, noting that it was a “good car.”
The Lada Aura model is created on the Lada Vesta platform. The new premium class product is distinguished by an increased interior space for rear row passengers by 25 centimeters; its interior is made of Russian-made genuine leather. The car is equipped with a 1.8 liter engine producing 122 horsepower and an automatic transmission.
AvtoVAZ owns production sites in Togliatti and Izhevsk. In mid-May 2022, the French Renault transferred its share in AvtoVAZ (67.69%) to the state ownership of the Russian Federation. Now the brand consists of four families of models: Vesta, Largus, Granta and Niva. Sales of Lada cars last year amounted to 352.6 thousand units (an increase of almost 2 times in annual terms).
