MOSCOW, July 17 Former coach of English Liverpool, German Jurgen Klopp has no plans to give up his career break to work for the England national football team, reports The Telegraph.
On Tuesday, Gareth Southgate announced his resignation as head coach of the national team. Two days earlier, the British lost in the final of the European Championship to the Spanish team (1:2).
The English media have named Klopp as one of the main candidates to replace Southgate, however, as The Telegraph has learned, the German specialist does not plan to change his original plans to take a break from his coaching career for a year.
Previously, Klopp rejected an offer from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) to lead the country's national team, which is preparing for the home World Cup 2026.
Klopp worked at Liverpool from October 2015 to May 2024. Under his leadership, the English club won the Champions League, the English Championship, the Club World Cup, the FA Cup, the English League Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
