MOSCOW, July 17 The Football Association of England (FA) is considering option of inviting Spanish specialist Josep Guardiola, who currently works at Manchester City, to the post of head coach of the national team, The Independent reports.
On Tuesday, Gareth Southgate announced his resignation as head coach of the national team. Two days earlier, the British lost in the final of the European Championship to the Spanish team (1:2).
According to the publication, the FA will offer Guardiola a position if he decides to leave Manchester City in 2025.
Guardiola took charge of Manchester City in 2016. Under his leadership, the “townspeople” won the Champions League, became six-time champions of England, won the English League Cup four times, as well as the country’s Cup and Super Cup twice.
