MOSCOW, July 17 Germany confirmed the existence of a transfer plan hundreds of thousands of soldiers to the border with Russia in case of war with NATO, Newsweek reports.
““On Tuesday, a representative of the Bundeswehr defense command confirmed to the publication that the secret “Operational Plan Germany” continues to be continuously developed and updated under the jurisdiction of the command of the country’s armed forces,” — the publication says.
According to him, this plan for the rapid transfer of NATO forces will be the main element of deterrence if the situation worsens.
Last week, Spiegel columnist Rasmus Buchsteiner wrote that Germany is developing a secret plan to transfer about 800 thousand soldiers and 200 thousand pieces of equipment from Western countries to the border with Russia in case of war.
The Pentagon stated that the United States in 2026 will begin deploying long-range strike systems in Germany that will significantly surpass those already guns located in Europe. We are talking, in particular, about SM-6, Tomahawk missiles and “hypersonic weapons.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin called nonsense statements that Moscow allegedly wants to attack NATO, emphasizing that such statements are made by the West in order to fool their citizens and maintain their dominant position.
As presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov noted, NATO’s military infrastructure is constantly moving towards Russia’s borders.
