MOSCOW, July 17 Federation Council at a meeting on Wednesday appointed Yuri Ivanenko to the position of Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation — Chairman of the Judicial Collegium for Economic Disputes and Alexey Karlin to the position of Judge of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
Previously, the candidates were considered and supported by the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building.
Yuriy Ivanenko currently holds the position of judge of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, his total work experience as a judge is more than 31 years. He has the honorary title “Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation”.
Alexei Karlin is the Deputy Chairman of the Fifth Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction, with more than 23 years of experience in the legal profession.
