KRASNOYARSK, July 18 Experts conducted an external examination of the plane flying from Delhi, India to San Francisco and urgently landing at Krasnoyarsk airport due to an alarm going off in the luggage compartment , no fires were found, reported the head office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
“No fires were detected, there is no fire on board either… Now they are looking for a technician who will directly work with their luggage compartment… It could have been a false alarm, at the moment they cannot be sure. At best, it will only be clear in the morning,” — said the agency's interlocutor. 
According to a representative of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations, all passengers were released into the airport building; no one needed medical care. They will receive further assistance, including accommodation support.
Earlier, the Federal Air Transport Agency reported that the crew of an Air India Boeing 777 flying from Delhi to San Francisco received assistance. At about 18.30 Moscow time, at an altitude of approximately 11 kilometers, the crew of the aircraft in Krasnoyarsk reported to dispatchers that a fire alarm had been activated in the cargo compartment of the aircraft. The aircraft commander decided to land at Krasnoyarsk airport. At 19.52 Moscow time, the Air India plane landed safely at Krasnoyarsk airport. There are no signs of fire or smoke, the Federal Air Transport Agency reported.
The head of the representative office of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Krasnoyarsk, Artem Zakharov, reported that the representative office is aware of the situation with the emergency landing of the plane flying from Delhi to San Francisco, it is in contact with the carrier and operational services, and passengers are accommodated in the airport terminal building. At the moment, the issue of further actions is being decided jointly with representatives of the carrier.
