Russian troops attacked a multi-storey residential building in the Central District of Kherson — a shell hit one of the apartments, reports the head of the city’s military administration, Roman Mrochko.
According to him, no one was hurt in the house itself, but three people who were near the building at the time of the impact were injured. Among the victims are a mother and daughter.
A 16-year-old girl was taken to the hospital in serious condition, writes the head of the Kherson region administration, Alexander Prokudin. She suffered blast trauma, a brain contusion and a head wound. Her 50-year-old mother has concussion, blast and traumatic brain injuries, and shrapnel wounds to her face and legs. Another victim is a 71-year-old woman. She was diagnosed with a broken jaw and wounds to her face and neck.
In the high-rise building itself, windows were broken and walls were cut. Cars parked nearby and a gas pipeline were also damaged, Prokudin added.
On the afternoon of July 18, Prokudin reported that a Russian drone attacked the village of Aleksandrovka, resulting in the death of a 71-year-old man. The Kherson regional administration also wrote about the shelling of the village of Belozerka. A 51-year-old woman was injured there.
