The last time such sanctions were extended at the end of January for six months — until July 31, 2024.
The West has increased sanctions pressure on Russia over Ukraine, which has led to rising prices for electricity, fuel and food in Europe and the United States. Since the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine in February 2022, the EU has already implemented 14 packages of sanctions against Russia.
Russia has repeatedly stated that the country will cope with the sanctions pressure, which continues to intensify.
