MOSCOW, July 19. The digital bank Wio from the UAE has stopped accepting transfers in dirhams from Russia, RBC reports, citing financial consultants and clients of the bank.
“
"According to the clients with whom our consultants work, difficulties arose with sending transfers to an account at Wio Bank. The bank stopped accepting dirhams from Russia and dollars and euros from Kazakhstan,” the publication quotes Andrey Avramenko, founder of the OhMySwift consulting service.
He added that Wio Bank was attractive to Russian clients because it could open accounts online, provide deposits with high rates and access to the securities market.
The article notes that after problems with transfers arose in the bank's support service, the client was informed that refusals in credits were related to the internal policy of the organization.
