BELGOROD, July 20 Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, while on sick leave, plans to hold a meeting on Saturday to discuss readiness to introduce access restrictions to 14 settlements in the region.
On Tuesday, Gladkov said that he was feeling «not very well» and was going on sick leave. According to him, he will improve his health and return to work on Monday.
As reported by the head of the region, entry into 14 settlements in five border municipalities, where an extremely difficult operational situation is developing, will be restricted from July 23. Checkpoints will be set up at the entrances, which will be guarded by law enforcement agencies. Public transport, including taxis, will be prohibited from entering. Only men with special permits will be allowed into these settlements, subject to strict requirements — in an armored vehicle, in a bulletproof vest and helmet, accompanied by military personnel.
«Today, after the hospital, I will stop by and hold a meeting on readiness to restrict access in 14 settlements,» Gladkov said in a video message on the Telegram channel.
