NALCHIK, July 21 Five people died as a result of a collision between a truck and a car in the Prokhladnensky district of Kabardino-Balkaria, the regional traffic police department reported.
«At about 17:20 Moscow time on Sunday, at the 23rd kilometer of the Prokhladny-Baksan-Elbrus highway in the Prokhladnensky district, a collision occurred between a KAMAZ and a Lada Granta. As a result, according to preliminary data, the driver and four passengers of the car received injuries incompatible with life,» the report says.
It is clarified that there are no children among the participants in the incident.
The regional directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that five people were involved in unblocking and eliminating the consequences of the accident.
Causes and circumstances of the accident is established by the investigative and operational group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Prokhladnensky».
This is the second major accident on Sunday in Kabardino-Balkaria. Earlier it was reported that on the same highway, but in the Baksan region of the republic, three people died in a collision of four cars, two more were taken to the hospital.
