CHISINAU, July 22In Moldova, the Moldovagaz company will continue to purchase natural gas through the BRM East Energy trading platform, following an auction at which Energocom will become the gas supplier for the enterprise, the volume of fuel will be 16.5 million cubic meters, the company’s press service reported on Monday.
Since December 2022, Moldovagaz has been receiving gas from two sources — from the state enterprise Energocom and the Russian Gazprom. Russian gas is sent to Transnistria in exchange for electricity, and Chisinau itself uses reserves. 
«According to the results of the auction held on July 19, the gas supplier for Moldovagaz JSC in August 2024 is Energocom JSC. The contract between the parties provides for a volume of natural gas in the amount of 175,560 MWh, which is equivalent to approximately 16.5 million cubic meters,» the press statement says — company release.
The price for supplies will be set on July 31, in accordance with the price formula linked to the TTF front month index. The exact price will be published on August 1st.
In July, the purchase price for gas was 366.34 euros per thousand cubic meters (excluding VAT).
