During the night of July 22, air defense systems shot down 80 Ukrainian drones in six regions, as well as over the Black and Azov Seas, reported to the Ministry of Defense.
The majority of drones — 47 — were shot down in the Rostov region, the department claims. According to Governor Vasily Golubev, no one was injured as a result of the falling debris, but several landscape fires occurred. They have already been extinguished, the official writes.
The Telegram channel “Caution-News” reports that the city of Morozovsk, where a military airfield is located, came under attack. According to the Z-channel “Two Majors”, several drones were shot down over the airfield itself.
In Tuapse, due to falling drone debris, a fire occurred on the territory of an oil refinery, the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory reported. The fire was extinguished, there were no injuries. In total, eight drones were shot down in the Krasnodar Territory, according to the Ministry of Defense.
In the Belgorod village of Ustinka, a drone attacked a car driving along the road, writes Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov. The driver was injured and was hospitalized with concussion and multiple shrapnel wounds to the head and shoulder.
Later, the governor wrote that a drone attacked a tractor in Ustinka. According to him, the driver died. His wife was with him; she went to the hospital herself, after which she was hospitalized with a shrapnel wound to her thigh.
Gladkov also reported about the shelling of Shebekino. According to him, a shell hit a private house and it caught fire. An 87-year-old woman was in the house and was not injured. A man was injured and refused hospitalization.
Drones also attacked the Voronezh, Smolensk and Astrakhan regions, the Ministry of Defense claims. According to the governors of these regions, there were no casualties or destruction.
