Five Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed over Tuapse
On the night of July 22, residents of Tuapse woke up to a series of loud explosions that shook the city. According to preliminary data, the cause of the incident was the operation of an air defense system aimed at neutralizing enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The target of the attack was likely a local oil refinery.
Events began to unfold around 3:30 am. Local residents who spoke with SHOT correspondents said that they heard the characteristic sounds of a UAV flying over. These sounds became the harbingers of subsequent explosions. In total, about five loud bangs were recorded in the area of the local oil depot.
Residents of Tuapse were alarmed and frightened by what happened. Many of them immediately began sharing information on social networks and instant messengers, trying to understand what was happening. From the reports it can be understood that no serious damage or casualties were reported in the city.
At the time of writing the news, there was no official information from the authorities or representatives of the refinery. However, according to experts, the operation of the air defense system and the nature of the explosions indicate that the drone attack was successfully repelled.
