MOSCOW, July 22. Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the widow of the writer Alexander Solzhenitsyn Natalia Solzhenitsyn on her birthday, noting her contribution to the development of the traditions of charity and education in the Russian Federation and to attracting interest in the study of the history, way of life and spiritual heritage of the Russian emigration; the corresponding telegram was published on the Kremlin website.

Putin also noted that Solzhenitsyna's main life's work is preserving the memory of Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn, whose original works and humanistic ideas are undoubtedly an integral part of Russian culture.
The Russian leader wished Solzhenitsyna good health and all the best.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, in his congratulations to Natalia Solzhenitsyn, noted that she is the main custodian of the legacy of Alexander Solzhenitsyn, thanks to whom the writer’s works were published in Russia and abroad.
