“The video was filmed in the Trans-Baikal Territory at one of the facilities included in the federal project “General Cleaning”. Our employees went out for an inspection and met the bear,” Radionova wrote.
According to her, now in the northern regions of the Irkutsk region and the Republic of Buryatia, due to fires, wild animals are increasingly going to garbage dumps in search of food. Radionova noted that this situation is dangerous both for people and for the bear, because it can get hurt or poisoned.
» Such landfills must be disposed of as quickly as possible. We hope that this will be done as part of the “General Cleaning”,” added the head of the department.
As part of the federal project “General Cleaning”, with the participation of the public, a “national” register of waste disposal sites was compiled, which included 1952 unauthorized landfills. Now they are being inventoried and the cleaning order is being determined.
