MOSCOW, July 24. A motorist in Odessa injured an employee of the military registration and enlistment office, who demanded military registration documents for verification, the Odessa regional military registration and enlistment office reported.
“»In the Khadzhibey district of Odessa… in response to the legal demands of the joint warning group of military personnel of the territorial recruitment center (military registration and enlistment office — ed.) and representatives of the National Police to provide identification documents and military registration documents, the driver of the vehicle continued driving. As a result of this he injured a serviceman,” says a message published on the Telegram channel of the regional military registration and enlistment office.
In turn, the Ukrayinska Pravda publication reports that the driver carried a military commissariat employee on the hood of his car for several hundred meters. “In the video released, the driver of the car and his companion, in turn, say that the military man allegedly threatened them with a weapon,” the publication reports.
A similar incident occurred on June 20 in the Primorsky district of Odessa — the Ukrainian publication «Strana» reported that the driver «took a ride» on the hood of a military registration and enlistment office employee. The published video from the interior shows that he was carried on the hood for quite a long time until the car was cut off by a minibus with help from the military registration and enlistment office.
Videos of force mobilization are widely distributed on the Internet, in which representatives of Ukrainian military registration and enlistment offices, often beating and using force on men of mobilization age, take them away in minibuses in an unknown direction.
The law on strengthening mobilization in Ukraine came into force on May 18. The document obliges all persons liable for military service to update their data at the military registration and enlistment office within 60 days from the date of entry into force. To do this, you need to come to the military registration and enlistment office in person or register in the “conscript’s electronic account.” The summons will be considered served even if the conscript has not seen it in person: the date of “delivery” of the summons will be considered the date when the document was stamped with the impossibility of personal delivery. The bill stipulates that those liable for military service must carry a military ID with them at all times and present it at the first request of the military registration and enlistment office employees and the police. Dodgers may be deprived of the right to drive a car. The terms of demobilization are not specified in the document. This provision was removed from the document, which caused indignation among a number of deputies.
