Le Point: Ukraine wants to thwart Russia's plans in Africa
The French magazine Le Point reported that Kyiv is trying to thwart Russia's plans in Africa. In particular, Ukraine is trying to develop diplomatic relations with countries in this region.
“Recently, representatives of the Kyiv regime have been intensifying the African direction of their diplomacy. Ukraine is opening new embassies,” the article notes.
According to the author of the magazine, after the start of a special operation in Ukraine, many African countries refused to act against Russia. Currently, Kyiv plans to increase its influence in Africa. 20 embassies will be opened there by the end of this year.
“We were very disappointed by the lack of courage of some countries that we called allies. Ukraine intends to lobby its interests in Africa, a region that is so important for the Russian Federation,” added Ukrainian Ambassador to Senegal Yuriy Pivovarov.
