
ST. PETERSBURG, July 25 The court has sent a man who tried to set fire to a military registration and enlistment office in St. Petersburg to a hospital for a psychiatric examination, the united press service of the city's courts reported on its Telegram channel.
The Primorsky District Court of St. Petersburg considered the investigator's motion to place Vasily Gogolev, who is suspected of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorist act), in a hospital for a psychiatric examination. He tried to set fire to the military registration and enlistment office on Sizova Street.
«The court granted the investigator's motion, placing Gogolev in a medical organization providing psychiatric care in inpatient settings for an inpatient psychiatric forensic examination for a period of 30 days,» the report says.
It is noted that the trial was held behind closed doors.
