KHARKOV REGION, July 25 Artillerymen of the North group of forces destroyed strongholds, an ammunition depot and manpower of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kharkiv region, the Russian Defense Ministry told journalists.
«The crews of the Akatsiya self-propelled howitzers of the North group of forces, while carrying out fire missions, destroyed strongholds, an ammunition depot and manpower of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of the special military operation,» the defense department said.
It is specified that the artillerymen of the group fire around the clock at military facilities, positions, fortifications and infantry of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and also provide support to the Russian infantry.
«Right now this is a temporary firing position. We change them very often so that there is no counter-battery battle. Even if they spot us, the crew quickly gathers up and takes the vehicle away. Or we fire a certain number of shells at the target and leave,» said the platoon commander with the call sign «Wolf.»
It is reported that after combat work the crew goes into cover so as not to attract attention to the artillery mount.
