Avito's division has launched a new service that allows customers to order special equipment for rent: it will help choose the required special equipment and supplier, taking into account its location and rating on Avito. The company expects that this online service will be able to increase the security of the rental market, as well as simplify communication between customers and suppliers.
The presentation of the service took place recently at the Titanium Valley SEZ site in Yekaterinburg. It was in this city that the new online service for renting special equipment began operating. It is known that during the event, two crane manipulators were rented with the help of the service to organize work on improving the territory of the SEZ. In addition, the service is already available in Chelyabinsk, and Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan will soon join them. In the future, it is planned to appear in all regions of the country and cover all types of special equipment.
To use the new functionality of the platform, the user must decide on the task and leave a corresponding request for the selection of special equipment. After that, Avito managers will offer options that match the request. Then the customer will be able to agree on the details directly with the contractor and make an advance payment for the service.
As the company explained, customers can use the service for free, and contractors will pay a commission of 10% of the rental cost. The amount should cover document flow, transaction security and traffic provision.

The company explained that the safety of all stages of interaction between customers and suppliers is controlled by «smart» algorithms and the operations department. During the transaction, funds for rent will be reserved in a deposit account: they will be transferred to the lessor only if the parties come to an agreement. In addition, Avito Special Equipment specialists will monitor the performance of the work.
