Moscow car bomber to be remanded in custody after questioning

MOSCOW, July 26 Serebryakov, accused of blowing up a car in Moscow, will be placed in custody after questioning, the Russian Investigative Committee reported on its Telegram channel.
On Wednesday morning, two people were injured in a car explosion in the courtyard of a building on Sinyavinskaya Street in northern Moscow. According to the Russian Interior Ministry, an unidentified object placed in the car detonated. The case has been transferred to the first department for investigating especially important cases of the capital's main Investigative Committee. The Zamoskvoretsky Court reported that the defendant in the case of the car bombing in Moscow, Yevgeny Serebryakov, has been charged in absentia. On the same day, Serebryakov was detained in Bodrum, Turkey. He was then brought to Russia.
«In Moscow, Evgeny Serebryakov, who was brought from Turkey, was presented with a decision to bring him in as an accused. The Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the city of Moscow is investigating a criminal case on the grounds of crimes provided for in paragraph 3 of Article 30, part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder of two persons), part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal trafficking in explosive devices),» the report says.
It is specified that during the interrogation, Serebryakov reported on the circumstances of the preparation of the car bombing ordered by the Security Service of Ukraine, including a meeting with a curator abroad and the place where the components of the explosive device were obtained. From Turkey, Serebryakov was going to Ukraine, where he was promised citizenship.
