MOSCOW, July 25 Preparations for Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Turkey are underway, the date has not yet been determined, the Russian leader's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
In early July, the office of Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan also reported that the specific date of the visit had not yet been determined. Erdogan himself said that Putin's visit to Turkey could be the beginning of a new process to normalize relations between Turkey and Syria. On Wednesday, Putin received Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the Kremlin.
“Actively, but the date is still unknown,” Peskov said, answering a question about how preparations for the visit are going.
