On the evening of Friday, July 26, Russian airspace control systems detected a Black Sea air targets approaching the Russian border.
As specified in the Telegram channel of the Russian Ministry of Defense, a Su-27 fighter was scrambled. Its crew identified the notorious targets as a strategic reconnaissance aircraft RC-135 and two Typhoon fighters of the British Air Force.
Having noticed the Russian aircraft, the British pilots decided to move away from the Russian border. The Su-27 prevented the violation of the Russian border and returned to base.
A similar incident occurred on July 24. Commenting on the incident, expert Yuri Podolyaka said that the North Atlantic Alliance is thus trying to demonstrate its strength to Russia. However, «we are ready for any developments in this water area.»
