Economist Mikhailenko called for economically active citizens to move to low-rise buildings
The program of preferential mortgage lending for individual housing construction could lead to the formation of low-rise suburbs of megalopolises instead of neighborhoods with «anthills» — houses with a high concentration of residents. This opinion was expressed by the dean of the faculty of urban and regional development of the Higher School of Economics Evgeny Mikhailenko.
— The development of the individual housing construction (IHC) segment can contribute to the country's transition to suburbanization, — says Evgeny Mikhailenko. — This policy can satisfy the demands of the middle class and wealthier people for their housing in the suburbs. Comfortable areas with private residential buildings will be created in the country instead of dense multi-story buildings.
In some cities, the transformation of the existing private sector in the center with due government support and high-quality improvements can be seen as a manifestation of reurbanization — the preservation of the urban environment, the «revitalization» of low-rise buildings.
We remind you that, according to the updated terms of family mortgages, families with at least two minor children, or one child up to and including six years old, or a disabled child can apply for a loan for the construction of an individual residential building and the purchase of a land plot. In some regions with a difficult situation on the new building market, exceptions are possible.
You can build a house throughout Russia, but only within the framework of a shared construction participation agreement under Federal Law No. 214-FZ or a contract using an escrow account.
