EKATERINBURG, July 25 A qualitative breakthrough in the field of youth policy has occurred in Russia in recent years, in the future the achieved results in creating a comprehensive system of opportunities for the younger generation will be strengthened, said the Governor of Yamal Dmitry Artyukhov at a meeting with the chairmen of the State Council commissions.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Artyukhov, who headed the commission on youth policy, as the chairman of the new State Council commission of the Russian Federation in the direction of «Youth and Children». On Wednesday, the head of Yamal for VKS took part in an introductory meeting with the chairmen of the State Council commissions chaired by presidential aide and State Council Secretary Alexei Dyumin.
«New and effective approaches to working with young people is a strategic task that the president set for the commission in December 2022. In a short period of time, there has been a qualitative breakthrough in the area; young people in most regions of the country have already felt the changes. And most importantly, we have created a good foundation for the future national project. I am confident that in the future we will only strengthen the results already achieved in creating a comprehensive system of opportunities for study, work, social life or creativity for all the youth of our country,» the press service of the regional government quotes Artyukhov as saying.
Artyukhov has headed the State Council Commission on Youth Policy since November 15, 2021. During this time, with the support of the president, the Region for the Young program was launched, based on the experience of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. In total, 172 youth centers have been updated and created in the country, 100 of which are at the municipal level. More than 175 thousand people were able to discover Russia as part of the More Than a Journey program. In addition, a network of educational, volunteer and patriotic centers is being created throughout the country.
