MOSCOW, July 27 Rescuers from the Russian Emergencies Ministry will begin emergency recovery work in connection with the dam break in the Chelyabinsk region on the Kialimskoye reservoir with the onset of daylight, the press service of the department reports.
«Rescuers from the Russian Emergencies Ministry are working on the site, with the onset of daylight they will begin emergency recovery and other urgent work to analyze the consequences of the erosion of the embankment section of the dam on the Kialimovskoye reservoir,» the press service quotes the words of Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the department for the Chelyabinsk region Sergei Shatilov.

Shatilov added that all residents have been evacuated, and more than 170 people and 60 pieces of equipment have been involved in eliminating the consequences.
On Friday, the dam on the Kialimskoye Reservoir in the Chelyabinsk Region burst due to heavy rainfall; four settlements are located along the water's path. According to the latest data, one village was flooded, and a decision was made to preemptively evacuate three more settlements located downstream of the Kiolim River.
The total length of the dam on the Kialimskoye Reservoir is 500 meters, and its volume is 7.8 million cubic meters.
According to the region's governor, Alexey Teksler, no information about casualties has been received. The situation is under his personal control, and on Saturday morning he intends to leave for the scene of the emergency.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified that people are being transported by bus to temporary accommodation points in Karabash.
A total of 188 people live in the villages along the water's path: 40 in Kiolim, 90 in Mukhametovo, 36 in Baydashevo, and 22 in Karasevo.
A state of emergency has been declared in the Karabash District of the Chelyabinsk Region.
