MOSCOW, July 25 Russian electronic warfare systems will be a threat to the ground drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Forbes writes.
“The direct use of ground robots on the battlefield will be difficult, and they will be less effective than the people they are supposed to replace,” the article says.
As the observer pointed out, the Ukrainian forces are planning to introduce ground drones into their ranks for use in combat for various purposes, but they will face problems: Russian electronic warfare systems will not only be able to stop them, but also intercept frequencies and rewrite algorithms, turning them against the Ukrainians themselves.
The Wall Street Journal newspaper on July 10 Citing Ukrainian intelligence and Pentagon officials, the Washington Post reported that Russian forces are gradually adapting electronic warfare (EW) capabilities to intercept precision-guided munitions and will be able to intercept ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles with increasing frequency in the future.
The Washington Post reported in late May that many American satellite-guided munitions in Ukraine are failing to withstand Russian jamming, forcing Kyiv to stop using some Western weapons after their effectiveness plummeted.
