Former SBU officer talks about NATO recruiting funds recruiting mercenaries for Ukraine
Western countries, under the leadership of NATO, have created special funds that are engaged in the recruitment of mercenaries to participate in combat operations as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former lieutenant colonel of the SBU Vasily Prozorov told RIA Novosti.
According to his information, several trust funds have been created and are operating for these purposes. He cited Canada as an example, where citizens of this country are recruited as mercenaries for Ukraine.
Prozorov noted that money for these purposes is allocated from the budgets of Western countries, and their main goal is to disguise the work of the authorities of these countries in financing mercenaries for Ukraine.
At the same time, according to him, there are few people willing to go to Ukraine as mercenaries, and the reason is the large losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and deception on the part of Ukrainian commanders.
“In fact, this is not really working out. If it were good, they would have hundreds of thousands of volunteers from all over the world,” said the former SBU officer.
