ROSTOV-ON-DON, July 27 A major fire that broke out at a household waste landfill in the Sovetsky District of Rostov-on-Don has been localized to an area of two thousand square meters, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the Rostov Region.

Earlier it was reported that in Rostov-on-Don, specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations were extinguishing a large fire on an area of one thousand square meters. Then the area of the fire increased to two thousand square meters, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the region reported. It was specified that garbage, a grader, and a construction trailer were burning.
It was also specified that 55 specialists and 27 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire; there was no official information about casualties.
