MOSCOW, July 27 Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev has reached the second round of the Olympic tournament in Paris.
On Saturday, in his opening match at the Olympics, Medvedev, seeded fourth, beat Australian Rinki Hijikata 6:2, 6:1. The opponents spent 1 hour and 1 minute on the court.
In the next round, the 28-year-old Russian will face the winner of the match between Austrian Sebastian Ofner and Robin Hase from the Netherlands. At the last Olympic Games in Tokyo, Medvedev reached the quarter finals.
