The Russian army launched a strike from a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) on the center of the city of Glukhov in the Sumy region, the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine reported.
As a result of the shelling, a 14-year-old teenager was killed — he died in the hospital. The Prosecutor General's Office reported 12 victims, including six children. The Sumy regional administration later clarified that 14 people were wounded in the shelling, seven of them children.
Apartment buildings and private houses, an educational institution, a store and vehicles were damaged in the city, the department added.
Earlier, the administration reported that on the night and morning of July 27, the Russian army shelled populated areas of the Sumy region 15 times.
