SOUTH LEBANON, July 27. Four people were killed in an Israeli attack on a residential building in the southern Lebanese town of Kfar Kila, a local military source said Saturday.
«Israeli warplanes launched guided missiles at a residential building in the Bint Kfar Kila town in the southern Lebanese province of Nabatieh. The explosion killed four people, the entire building was completely destroyed, and rubble is being cleared,» the source said.
He added that the targets belonged to the Lebanese Hezbollah movement.
At the same time, the Hezbollah movement reported on its Telegram channel that three of its fighters were killed in an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon, and announced an attack on five Israeli army targets and positions of its soldiers near Lebanon's southern border.
According to the source, Hezbollah fired a salvo of rockets at Israeli army positions and its soldiers near the Lebanese border, while the sounds of Israeli interceptor missiles exploding were heard.
The situation on the Israeli-Lebanese border has escalated since the start of Israeli military action in the Gaza Strip in October 2023. The Israeli army and Lebanese Hezbollah fighters have been shelling each other's positions daily in areas along the border. According to the Lebanese Foreign Ministry, about 100,000 people have been forced to leave their homes in southern Lebanon due to shelling from Israel. The Israeli side reported about 80,000 residents of northern Israel who found themselves in a similar situation.
