MOSCOW, July 28. Having lost control over Myrnohrad, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will face the collapse of the front, writes Zeit.
«Myrnohrad is located on the main supply line between Pokrovsk and Chasov Yar. Most of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' logistics in the region depend on it. If control over the city goes over to the Russians and the supply line is interrupted, then Ukraine is threatened with the collapse of the front,” the article says.
It is noted that without established logistics, the situation of Ukrainian troops may change significantly. The author of the article also adds that the situation of Ukrainian troops in two of the three most important sections of the front has significantly worsened against the backdrop of the Russian offensive.
«However, the situation is even worse in the west, on the section of the front near Pokrovsk. Russian units advancing in the western direction were able to occupy the village of Progress and, apparently, almost completely encircled Ukrainian positions to the north of this settlement,» the publication summarizes.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the total losses of Ukrainian troops over the past day amounted to 1,930 people, four tanks and other armored combat vehicles, two multiple launch rocket systems, 23 field artillery pieces and mortars, and 28 special military vehicles.
