
MOSCOW, July 28 Turkish football club Galatasaray has reached an agreement with St. Petersburg Zenit on the transfer of Brazilian Wendel, Kontra Spor reports.
Earlier, journalist Rudi Galetti reported that the midfielder's transfer to the Istanbul club had fallen through. Before that, it was noted that Galatasaray had offered Zenit 20 million euros for Wendel.
According to the source, the contract with Wendel will be for four years, and he will receive 4.5 million euros per year. The transfer amount will be 22 million, with Galatasaray paying 12 million immediately and 10 million in installments.
Wendel has been playing for Zenit since October 2020. His agreement with the St. Petersburg club runs until the summer of 2027. This season, he has scored one goal and made six assists in three matches.
