MOSCOW, July 29. Poland has allocated 50 million euros to the Czech initiative to purchase artillery ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the country's Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said in an interview with Visegrad Insight.
«We highly value the Czech initiative, for which we have allocated 50 million euros,» — he said.
Sikorski did not specify when the funds would be transferred to Prague.
Earlier, Czech President Petr Pavel said that Ukraine would receive 50 thousands of ammunition, and from September to the end of the year — 80-100 thousand monthly.
Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, stated in an interview with the British publication The Guardian that the situation at the front is not in favor of the Ukrainian army. He also pointed out that Russia is superior to Ukraine in aviation and has a strong air defense, which will not allow the promised F-16 fighters to come closer than 40 kilometers to the front. The commander-in-chief admitted that without mobilization, Ukraine will not be able to create the necessary reserves and brigades. .
