South Korean Athlete Breaks Russian Olympic Record in Shooting

MOSCOW, July 28 South Korean representative Oh Ye-jin set a new Olympic record in 10-meter air pistol shooting, surpassing the achievement of Russian Vitalina Batsarashkina.
Oh Ye-jin won gold at the Olympic Games in Paris on Sunday, scoring 243.2 points in the final. Batsarashkina's record, set by her at the Games in Tokyo, was 240.3 points.
Another Korean, Kim Ye-ji, took second place, while Indian Manu Bhaker came in third.

The world record in this discipline — 246.9 points — belongs to Serbian Zorana Arunovic, it was set on March 11, 2017.

15 Russians in five sports have been admitted to the Games: seven tennis players, three canoeists, three cyclists, one trampoline jumper and one swimmer. By decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the athletes have been granted neutral status. They will compete without the Russian flag and anthem, and their awards will not be displayed in the medal table.
