The large four-door will be radically transformed on the outside. The interior will probably also be redesigned. But whether the reforms will affect the technology is not yet known.
The Kia K8 sedan debuted in 2021. It replaced the model that bore the K7 index in Korea, and was known as Cadenza in other countries. Now the «eight» is the most prestigious passenger car of the brand — only the Kia K9 on a rear-wheel drive platform is cooler. Alas, in its homeland, the Kia K8 has lost buyers. Thus, according to the company itself, from January to June 2024, 12,478 cars were sold there, which is almost half as much as in the same period in 2023. Restyling is designed to revive demand. Moreover, judging by the first teasers, the four-door will undergo a radical transformation in appearance.
Updated Kia K8 sedan
Kia K8 will get a new «face». The main feature is vertical headlight units. However, a similar solution is already used in other fresh models of the brand — including the restyled Sorento crossover and the latest K4 sedan, which will replace Forte/Cerato. The «eight» will also have a luminous panel in front, consisting of many vertical LED strips. And in place of the radiator grille with diamonds, a solid plug will be installed — the grille itself will be moved lower. The bumpers and taillights will also be different.

The dimensions of the restyled sedan have not been disclosed. The length of the pre-reform four-door (in the Korean specification) is 5015 mm, width — 1875 mm, height — 1455 mm. The wheelbase is 2895 mm.
The interior has not been revealed. It is possible that a new dashboard and climate control unit will appear inside. Well, and they will probably refresh the finishing materials.

There is no information yet about the technology of the updated Kia K8 sedan. The previous model in Korea is available with naturally aspirated gasoline 2.5 GDI (198 hp) and V6 3.5 GDI (300 hp), there is also a version with a gas V6 3.5 LPI (240 hp) and a hybrid HEV (that is, without the ability to charge from the electrical network) with an installation based on a turbo engine 1.6 T-GDI. For cars with a 300-horsepower V6 engine, all-wheel drive is provided.
The presentation of the Kia K8 with a new design will be held in the brand's homeland in August.
