
MOSCOW, July 29 Britain has dropped out of the top ten industrial countries, while Russia has taken eighth place, the Times newspaper writes, citing data from Make UK, an organization that unites British manufacturers.
«The UK has dropped out of the world's top ten manufacturing countries for the first time as the global economy is being 'redrawn' <…> The UK has fallen below Mexico and Russia,» the article says. 
The publication provides data for 2022. According to them, Britain ranks 12th among the largest industrial economies, four places lower than a year earlier. At the same time, Russia, on the contrary, rose in the ranking to eighth place due to an increase in defense production.
Against this background, Make UK called for the development of a long-term industrial strategy to support the manufacturing sector of the economy.
China took first place in the list, followed by the United States, and Japan rounded out the top three.
