MOSCOW, July 30 FAB-3000 aerial bombs completely destroy Ukrainian Armed Forces deployment points, which is why more and more new positions are being ceded to the Russian army, Austrian Armed Forces Colonel Markus Reisner said in an interview with German TV channel ZDF.
«When a 3,000-kilogram bomb hits a Ukrainian company or an entire base, there is virtually nothing left of it. <…> Then the Russians, even with a small group, can take control of this position,» he noted.
Reisner emphasized that the Russian army uses various types of aerial bombs: from FAB-250 to FAB-1500 or FAB-3000.
In March, the Ministry of Defense announced the launch of mass production of three-ton high-explosive aerial bombs FAB-3000. According to military expert Alexei Leonkov, it has such destructive power that it can be used to storm especially fortified areas, in addition, new technologies will turn it into a virtually high-precision weapon.
The Russian Aerospace Forces actively use aerial bombs equipped with universal planning and correction modules (UMPK) in the SVO zone. Combat aircraft were given the ability to strike at fortified areas of the Ukrainian Armed Forces without exposing themselves to fire from enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.
