MOSCOW, July 30 The official yuan to ruble exchange rate set by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for Wednesday fell by 1.99 kopecks to 11.8368 rubles, while the dollar fell by 22.54 kopecks — up to 86.33 rubles, the euro — by 84.34 kopecks, up to 93.2947 rubles, according to data from the Bank of Russia.
After the US sanctions on the Moscow Exchange, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation has been setting official exchange rates for the dollar and euro on business days since June 13 based on bank reports and over-the-counter trading information. At the same time, the yuan exchange rate is still determined by the market rate of the Moscow Exchange.
On June 12, the US expanded sanctions against Russia to include the Moscow Exchange. Against this backdrop, exchange trading in the dollar and euro was suspended and moved to the over-the-counter market.
