
VOLGOGRAD, July 29 Kazan resident Elena, who was riding on the derailed train under Volgograd, said that immediately after the emergency, local residents began to help passengers get out of the cars.
Kazan resident Elena, along with her sister and grandchildren, were traveling by train to Adler, and then wanted to go to Abkhazia. 
At the moment of the accident, she felt the train suddenly brake.
«When everyone fell, first we found out if everyone was alive, if their arms and legs were intact. Then we slowly started to get up, helping each other. Local residents, men who had arrived, came to the rescue. They immediately started to quietly pull us all out. You know, the carriage stopped so that the door at the top opened. The men held the door, others helped, others took us, quietly pulled us out,» Elena told the agency.
According to her sister, they were placed in a temporary accommodation center in a local hotel, provided with hot meals and water.
«Thank God, everyone is alive. I hope that in the morning we will be able to go to the sea,» the woman said.
On Monday afternoon, on the Gremyachaya — Kotelnikovo section in the Volgograd Region, the driver of a Kamaz truck drove onto a railroad crossing against a red light and collided with passenger train No. 491 Kazan — Adler. According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, nine train cars derailed, seven cars overturned. There were 803 passengers on the train. About 140 people received abrasions and bruises. Train traffic on the section has been stopped.
